Meet Samantha
I’m passionate about understanding human behavior and helping others navigate life’s challenges. I have recently graduated from the University of San Diego, pursuing a major in Psychology with minors in Communication and Marketing. This combination allows me to bridge the worlds of mental health and effective communication, preparing me to work with people in meaningful and impactful ways.

Outside of my academic studies, I am deeply committed to personal growth and cultural exploration. I’ve always loved traveling, and my passion for experiencing different cultures took me on an unforgettable journey through 16 countries during my Semester at Sea. I believe that immersing myself in diverse cultures has enriched my understanding of people and their experiences. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about mental health—because understanding the context of someone’s life is key to truly helping them heal and grow.

When I’m not studying or traveling, you’ll likely find me surfing, paddle boarding, or hiking. I’ve always loved being outdoors, and these activities are a big part of how I stay grounded and connected to nature.

I’ve had the privilege of working in several roles that have deepened my understanding of psychology and mental health. Currently, I’m interning at No Stress No Stigma, where I assist in providing therapy using Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques. This hands-on experience has allowed me to engage directly with clients, helping them address emotional and relational challenges while gaining insight into the therapeutic process.

Additionally, I’ve worked in a research lab studying cognitive and spatial awareness in rats to explore precursors for Alzheimer’s disease. This experience gave me a deeper appreciation for how early brain processes influence later cognitive function and how research can shape the future of mental health and neurological care.
Another impactful experience was my time with the Community Helpline, a national warmline that supports individuals in crisis. As a volunteer, I took calls from high-acuity clients across the nation, offering support, resources, and guidance.

This role taught me the power of listening, empathy, and how important it is to provide support to individuals when they feel most vulnerable. I’m excited about the future and how I can contribute to the mental health field. With my background in psychology, communication, and marketing, combined with my practical experience in therapy and research, I look forward to continuing to help people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Thank you for visiting my page, and feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect or learn more about my journey!

A Balenced Life
For me, living a balanced life is about nurturing all the essential aspects of who I am—mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s about making space for the things that center me and bring me joy, while also staying grounded in my values.
One of the cornerstones of my balance is my faith. My Bible and spiritual practices are a daily guide, providing me with a sense of purpose, direction, and peace. My faith serves as the foundation for how I approach challenges, relationships, and my work in the world.

I also find balance through my relationships with friends and family. These connections remind me of the importance of community and support. I believe that strong relationships are key to living a fulfilled life, and I make sure to carve out time to nurture these bonds.

All these aspects allow me to stay grounded and flourish in every area of my life. My faith, relationships, and time spent in nature provide me with the foundation and strength I need to navigate challenges, pursue my passions, and grow both personally and professionally.
